What has been announced about the APRICOT 2014 location?

In the interests of holding a successful conference with minimal disruption, APRICOT 2014 will no longer be held in Bangkok but instead will move to Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Why is APRICOT 2014 being moved?

While it was the strong intention of APIA and APNIC to hold APRICOT 2014 in Thailand, the announcement of a 60-day State of Emergency by the Thai Government in Bangkok, advice from our local hosts, and the subsequent upgrading of Thailand's travel warnings by international governments means that hosting APRICOT 2014 in Thailand is now not possible.

We believe that moving the event to Petaling Jaya, Malaysia will provide the best environment for a successful, safe, and memorable APRICOT 2014.

Have the dates of APRICOT 2014 changed?

No. APRICOT 2014 will still be held from 18-28 February 2014.

Where is Petaling Jaya?

I have already booked flights to Bangkok - what can I do now?

Kuala Lumpur International Airport is well-connected to all major airports in the Asia Pacific region, and there are also regular connecting flights between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

We always recommend that delegates purchase airline tickets that have flexible change and refund policies. The APRICOT 2014 organizers are not responsible for airline ticket charges as a result of changes to the location of the event.
